Paper Cut-Sheet & Reel Trim Calculator
Use one focused workspace for two related converting questions: how many finished sheets fit a parent sheet, or whether a proposed set of slit widths fits a master reel.
Sheet dimensions
Slitting pattern
Enter each slit once, separated by commas. Repeat a width when more than one lane is required.
What the results mean
Cut-sheet mode tests the finished sheet in both 0° and 90° orientations and reports the orientation with the highest piece count. Utilization is finished-sheet area divided by parent-sheet area; the remaining area includes edge waste and any gaps between cuts. The diagram is a planning view, not a guillotine sequence.
Reel-trim mode sums the requested slit widths and two user-entered edge trims. Product utilization excludes edge trim because it does not become saleable web. A feasible width pattern is not automatically a production-ready slitting plan: machine clearances, knife positions, winding limits, reel quality and minimum trim remain the converter’s responsibility.
