How it works
Freight per tonne = total freight ÷ tonnes shipped. It's the number you add to a supplier's ex-works or FOB price to compare offers on a like-for-like landed basis. Loading a container more fully lowers the freight each tonne carries, which is why the container loading and pallet tools feed straight into this one.
